Our Services
The ABC Program will provide basic level financial education classes and financial case management to individuals and families who need help with creating and managing a budget, maintaining a savings plan, credit repair, and help accessing their economic impact payment. Additional program services that could be offered for eligible clients include homebuyer education for first-time homebuyers, foreclosure prevention counseling, and free income tax preparation. Catholic Charities is currently the only HUD approved Housing Counseling Agency within Chambers, Hardin, Jasper, Jefferson, Liberty, Newton, Orange, Polk, and Tyler Counties. Clients who access the full range of services of the ABC Program should be able to decrease their debt, increase or initiate savings, and improve their credit score. Clients who successfully complete the homebuyer education classes become eligible for down payment assistance programs offered through local and state government.
